“The worst of times, the best of times.” Those were my uncle’s thoughts as 2006 came to a close. After almost being shot twice by our relative, having to change job so he won’t have to compromise his beliefs, moving form province to province and place to place, he had low moments when he thought nobody wanted him.
But he realized soon that he didn’t only have the worst times that year. He also had the best of them. People who cared for him took him into their homes and helped him. He now have a job he really love. He learned important lessons. He got to know a wonderful man. And he’s back on speaking terms with our relative.
