Most parents think that spanking is a good way to discipline their children. However, spanking doesn’t inculcate a sense of responsibility in the child’s mind, but only a sense of fear that forces them to do what is right. Isn’t it much better to redirect your child instead of spanking him, as redirecting truly makes the child understand the difference between right and wrong, and the consequences thereof? Redirecting is showing and teaching them the right way of doing things and showing them the consequences of a bad behavior without the need of hurting them.
