My sister accompanied my father in one of the known drug store in the Philippines. They asked if they have this certain drug and told the person in-charge that they would like to avail the senior citizen privilege. The personnel replied to them that they are out of stock of that medication. But they were in doubt, so a friend of ours went back to the said store (5 minutes after) and asked for the same drug again and to her surprise it is already available. Hmmm. It is clearly intentional that they don’t accommodate a senior citizen who wants to avail the program. So, what happened to Republic Act 9257-Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003?
