Majority of Filipino women are dark skinned and most of us, if not all, has always dreamed of having a fairer and more radiant skin. That’s why a lot of us tried every whitening product that comes out in the market, like facial wash, soaps and lotions, just to have the skin that we dreamed of. But to some who are financially fortunate, they tend to avail regular dermatological services like bleaching, or take glutathione medications or even have themselves injected with glutathione just to have whiter skin. Skin whitening is now the latest craze among Filipino women. But for me, no need, I’m already contented with my skin!

Wow...imagine dark skinned women trying to lighten their skin...and I had loved having a tan all my life...the darker the better...the only problem with that for me is now my skin is showing the sun damage...I guess we should be happy the way we are...:0)
Lovely blog...
Cheers
Good heavens-- skin whitening! And here in America, white women are baking themselves in salons and in the sun, trying to get dark skin.
All women's fashions are absolutely senseless!!!!!!
As a Filipina myself, I am proud of my skin color. I am not the typical "brown-skinned" or "kayumanggi" as we call our fellow Pinoys (maybe due to my Chinese blood ;) ) but I love the way other Pinoys' skin are "just the right kind of brown" that many foreigners are dying to imitate thru their tanning salons, sun-worshipping activities. Like Rebecca said, fashion is really senseless. It's more of a vanity to be fairer.
Shouldn't we love the "skin" we are born with?
Nice article!
Stop trying to lighten your skin! Filipiono women I have seen have have gorgeous olive skin.
